Joshua William Maylee accused of triple homicide (updated)

UPDATE: Joshua William Maylee has been charged with three counts of first-degree murder and one count of first-degree

assault, according to KMBC Channel 9. Maylee is being held without bond.

If you've ever had an issue with Joshua William Maylee, run. Run and hide. That's what police in central Missouri are telling folks as a manhunt is on for Maylee, who is wanted in connection with a triple homicide.



Maylee is wanted in the shooting deaths of 46-year-old Jeffrey Werdehausen, 48-year-old Eugene Pinet and 57-year-old Jackie Pinet. Werdehausen's wife, 41-year-old Gina Werdehausen, was also shot in the neck and is in critical condition at University Hospital in Columbia.



According to police, all four were "targeted individuals" and the the attacks weren't random, but the motive for the killings is still being investigated.



"He is not out there randomly shooting people." Sgt. Robert Bruchsaler of the Mid-Missouri Major Case Squad told reporters.

​Maylee, 23, is described as balding with blue eyes. He stands about six-feet tall and weighs about 180 pounds. Be on the look out for a silver four-door Pontiac Bonneville.

Gina Werdehausen is being treated at University Hospital in Columbia, which has been locked down as a precaution due to fears that the gunman could show up there. Also on lockdown, two grade schools near Holts Summit.

Maylee is believed to be armed and dangerous. Police say the murder weapons were a high-powered rifle and a handgun. If you see him, call 911.
