Hometown custom guitar pedal company JHS Pedals supplies custom-made and vintage music gear to retail shops across the country. As of Friday, the company is entering the retail business itself, opening JHS Music, a brick-and-mortar store in Grandview.

"We want to become Kansas City's most unique guitar shop," says founder Joshua Scott.

The boutique shop will feature "vintage and rare musical items specializing in guitars, pedals, amps and accessories from brands that are rare and out of the norm." It will also offer full guitar repair, accessories, and consignment.

JHS Music is located at 711 Main Street, in Grandview. The grand opening is this Friday, December 10, from 5 p.m. to midnight, where there'll be special deals and discounts on gear.
