Remember Capybara? Sure, you do! Rumors circulated that the local band responsible for "The Wimp" had broken up this year, when Darin Seal's solo project, Saharan Gazelle Boy, began to capture ears around the city. But all of that is by the wayside now: Capybara is back, and it's asking for your help, Kansas City, to produce its second album.

Capybara is doing music again in 2011, and we are putting everything we have into it. We believe that a person should be willing to work as hard (or harder) at their art as they are at their job. We are going to make 2011 The Year of the Capybara.

Watch the guys' video. Here's what they say about it:

"Sometime about two months ago, we realized that we want to do music full-time again," says Seal. "Joel's gonna move back to Kansas City, and we're going to spend the next six months of our lives making tons and tons of music. But we're not really sure what form it's going to take yet. Maybe it's going to be an album?"

"Maybe it's going to be a dragon," says Jared Horne.

Either way, we're excited to find out. Click here to find out more.
