Chefs are just like us. They want good service and strong drinks. They have bad meals and strong opinions about food. Sometimes, they choose to sit down at their computer and share those opinions.
Chef Michael Smith, who co-owns Michael Smith and Extra Virgin with his wife, Nancy, has launched a new blog on the website for Michael Smith.
His first rant is caffeine-fueled. Smith writes about his passion for espresso and his irritation when someone adds an "x," to the spelling. He also alludes to the idea that this blog will cover whatever stirs him to write. So, "City Hall" and "national injustice," you've been put on notice.
"I have a lot of stuff to get off my chest. And I always feel a lot better when I do," Michael Smith says. "This blog gives me the chance to let a lot of people know my thoughts at once. It's going to be fun, I hope a little thought provoking, and a way for me to engage with my
customers, friends and acquaintances."
Smith promises semi-regular updates, and because the first entry is dated February 23, I think we're due for an update.
