Brian McRae explains DUI arrest on Twitter, blames 'dip with alcohol mixed in'

Ex-Kansas City Royals outfielder Brian McRae got popped early this morning for allegedly driving under the influence.

The Kansas City Star reported that McRae was arrested around 3 a.m. after being stopped on westbound Interstate 435 near U.S. Highway 69. McRae was booked and released this morning. He's already explaining away the arrest -- his third for DUI -- on the Interwebs.



On his Twitter page, McRae added a few more details:

Not sure that's helping his case.

McRae was convicted of DUI in 1994 but cleared of a second DUI charge in 2004, according to the Star.
