Dorothy Cascone's skeleton ... oh, that's a live woman? Dorothy Cascone is going to prison for five years in a failed murder-for-hire plot to kill her ex-husband, George Cascone, 11 years after their divorce. Dorothy was hoping to cash in on four -- four -- life-insurance polices that she kept on her ex, presumably to buy a lot of makeup to cake on her mug, like her idol Tammy Faye Bakker.

Dorothy pleaded guilty in March to second-degree assault charges for

the July 2010 plot that never went anywhere because Dorothy's hired gun (and boyfriend

of three weeks) turned informant for the FBI. As for George Cascone, he's still a legend among Kansas City media members for his candid interview with reporters, which you can see after the jump.

"The moral of the story is, you get what you pay for. She should've paid

the hit man more money and went out of town, outsourced it," George

Cascone told KMBC Channel 9. "There's no way she could get anyone in Kansas City

to

cooperate with her like that, 'cause they don't like her that much."

That's only a taste. Watch and see.

Here's a recap of the plot: Dorothy Cascone wanted her ex offed while

he

was sleeping, suggesting the midnight killing time, thinking that

fireworks and guns going off for the Fourth of July would mask the sound

of the shooting. She gave her hired gun a loaded .38-caliber

weapon that she suggested be used with a silencer, handwritten maps of

George Cascone's home with directions to where he'd be sleeping, and

instructions to retrieve her .45-caliber weapon from a safe in the home.

She noted that George Cascone takes a lot of medication before going to

bed, making him a "sound sleeper."

If you couldn't tell, she appeared serious about offing her ex. So

serious that she took her personal hit man on a shopping trip to Kmart

to buy black shoes, pants and a shirt for the murder. And they scouted

the house and met another man, who was supposed to help with the plot, at a

Shell Station on North Oak Trafficway and Barry Road. But the helper

turned out to be a detective, who was paid $1,000 and given the maps, a .25-caliber gun and a photo of George Cascone.

Just to be clear of her intentions, the informant asked her, "Do you

want him shot once, three times, or a bunch of times?"

"I just want him dead," she said, adding

that they should feel free to leave the body in the home.

As for those life-insurance premiums, they were about to expire on July

8. So she headed out to pay State Farm.

Police nabbed her in a traffic stop.
