The Chiefs were never really in the running to land Peyton Manning, but fans were still holding out hope that there was a slim chance the quarterback would land here. It's time to give up the dream. ESPN is reporting that the four-time NFL MVP will sign with the Denver Broncos. So, at least we'll get to see him come to town once a season, right? Any consolation there? Eh?
OK, probably not. But one quarterback did decide to come to Arrowhead. Over the weekend, the team announced the signing of Brady Quinn, who will back up Matt Cassel. At the very least, Quinn should be fresh when headed into the season. He didn't play a single snap for the last two seasons as a backup in Denver.
