It has taken only an additional two months, but chef Emmanuel Langlade and his wife, Megan, have finally gotten their liquor license and will begin offering both happy-hour specials and dinner beginning tonight at their new Aixois Brasserie (1006 Walnut, 816-474-0000). Fat City reported on the new venture in June.

The Langlades have been serving lunch in the venue since June, but the delay in obtaining a liquor license held up dinner service. Beginning tonight, the Aixois Brasserie will offer happy hour from 2 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday; dinner will be served Wednesday through Saturday from 5:30 to 10 p.m.

Megan Langlade says there is free parking available on Walnut Street after 6 p.m., and there's free parking — with validation — in the parking garage at 1025 Main.
