Horse meat isn't the only unconventional meat (at least for American palates) in the news. Taste & See, a restaurant in Wichita, Kansas, decided to pull lion from its exotic dinner menu last week after protests by animal-rights activists. Kangaroo, alpaca and crocodile will still be available. This isn't just a gimmick. Many area butchers (Steve's Meat Market in De Soto, Kansas, and Paradise Locker Meats in Trimble, Missouri, are two places to start) dabble in exotic meats and clean and process game for local hunters. So, carnivores, here in the land of meat and hocks, where do you draw the line when it comes to the animal on your plate?
