Kansas City Chiefs find new ways to disappoint

It was an anti-blockbuster Sunday.
  • It was an anti-blockbuster Sunday.
The momentum that the Kansas City Chiefs had seized in an inspiring comeback win against the New Orleans Saint last week was gone after less than a quarter yesterday. The San Diego Chargers took advantage of early Chiefs' mistakes and a shell-shocked defense in a 37-20 throttling of the home team at Arrowhead Stadium.

Six turnovers, five in the first half for what was (shockingly) the statistically best offense in the league, left the Chiefs with a deficit that not even Jamaal Charles could outrun. Matt Cassel's passes Sunday were off target, high or behind the receiver. It should be acknowledged that his pocket was more holey than a hobo's trousers. The Chiefs even broke The Kansas City Star's Sam Mellinger. The team is only two games out, and there's a lot of division football left. Still, after three losses by an average of 17 points, this is a ship that doesn't look seaworthy. Are you ready to let the Chiefs go yet?
