An American League Central title was won at Kauffman Stadium last night. The problem is that it was the visiting Detroit Tigers doing the celebrating. The Tigers clinched the division with a 6-3 win over the Royals.

The two teams are apart by 16 games in the standings and just under $58 million in payroll. The Tiger's fifth starter, Anibal Sanchez, would likely be the Royals' number one if the rosters were switched. Other than that, it was a nail-biter. It won't be the last championship won on this field; we hope the home team will be rushing the mound the next time.

Tickets to tonight's game start at 98 cents on StubHub.
