The same week Sporting Kansas City gave Livestrong the heave-ho, they've announced their first shirt sponsor. On Thursday the team showed off new jerseys featuring the logo of Ivy Funds, an Overland Park-based investment management company. The multiyear deal will put the Ivy Funds logo on all of Sporting's uniforms this season.

Sporting had long been rumored to be getting a shirt sponsor (a common practice in soccer leagues), but it hadn't happened until now. In a statement from the team, Sporting CEO Robb Heineman said, ""They offer us everything we wanted, with the key attribute being local. Local was always the thing that was going to be most important to us in a jersey sponsor, and then innovation." The team will unveil a new home uniform on February 27.

What do you think, sports fans?
