It's possible you're unfamiliar with Kansas City rhymer Gee Watts. He has released some solid mixtapes and albums in recent years and delivered some blistering live performances, but has flown under the radar even within KC's hip-hop scene. But Watts' powder keg of potential looks like it might be set to erupt: He just released a song with arguably the hottest rapper on the planet.

Last night, Watts dropped "Watts R.I.O.T." - featuring Kendrick Lamar - onto the Internet, and it was quickly picked up by hip-hop blogs like Nah Right , Hip Hop DX and 2 Dope Boyz. The track will appear on Watts' mixtape Watts Up, due out April 7.

There's a bit of history between Watts and Lamar. Awhile back, Lamar posted this tweet in praise of Gee Watts:

Watts later recorded with Lamar in Lamar's tour bus around the time of the "Club Paradise" tour with Drake and A$AP Rocky at Sprint Center last March. Here's some video from that session. And listen to "Watts R.I.O.T." here.
