Third Man's Rolling Record Store stops in KC this weekend

Despite appearances, this is not a criminal enterprise.

Third Man Records - the Nashville-based record store and label founded by Jack White - also operates something it calls the Rolling Record Store. It's a yellow truck that travels the country peddling various limited-edition releases, gear and swag from Third Man. It also has a sound system that allows bands to plug in and play outside of it.

This Saturday, the Rolling Record Store will make two stops at our local record shops. From 1-4 p.m., it'll be parked outside Mills Record Company (read our feature about the new Westport record shop here). From 5-8 p.m., it'll be at Zebedee's, where you can also catch sets from Bloodbirds and Conquerors.

No word on whether Jack White will be present. Probably not. But you would feel pretty stupid if he was there and you stayed home, right? You would.
