Pendleton Heights named one of the best neighborhoods in the country for old homes

This Old Neighborhood: Pendleton Heights.
Last year, The Pitch took a look at the influx of artists and bargain hunters into the Historic Northeast neighborhood.

Pendleton Heights, a section of the Northeast that's said to be Kansas City's first real suburb, was built over 100 years ago. It's lined with gorgeous Victorian homes, and we're evidently not the only ones admiring them: This Old House magazine just named the 'hood one of the best in the U.S. for older homes.

"Ask just about anyone in Pendleton Heights, and they'll tell you that they moved here for the beautiful Victorian-era architecture, affordability, or the five-minute drive to downtown but stayed for the sense of community. Residents sit on their front porches, stop one another on the street to chat, and share house keys," the magazine says. Check out the full spread here.
