  • My Brothers & Sisters will play CMF this year.

The lineup for the 10th Annual Crossroads Music Fest, presented by KKFI 90.1 and taking place on Saturday, September 6, has just been announced, and it's a doozy. With eight venues and 27 acts - and growing - you'll likely have some tough decisions to make that day. The Record Machine and Money Wolf Music will be presenting showcases at Czar and Collection, respectively.

The Musicians Boot Camp is presented again this year by the Kansas City Volunteer Lawyers & Accountants for the Arts, featuring seminars on subjects such as setting up a band agreement, copyright law and licensing agreements.

We've copied and pasted the venues and bands confirmed below.

The members of Judas Priest will go down in history as the veritable godfathers of heavy metal. The band formed in 1969, and despite a seemingly continuous carousel of players, Judas Priest has never stopped the music. The band's influence on its genre goes without saying, and in its latest full-length Redeemer of Souls, Judas Priest proves that it's not so old that it can't still blast gloom and doom and full volume.

Since its opening in 1989, the iconic Midwestern Musical Co. shop at the corner of 19th Street and Locust has been a common gathering for local and touring musicians, and this August, its doors shutter for good. The sad announcement came earlier this week in a Facebook post from Matt Kesler, Pedaljets guitarist and co-founder of MMC.

Arctic Monkeys, Weezer, the 1975 and more come in September for Buzz Beach Ball

96.5 the Buzz has just announced the lineup for its annual Buzz Beach Ball, and it looks pretty tasty. Arctic Monkeys headline, and alternative L.A. juggernaut Weezer will also be on deck to make you remember the 1990s. Personally, I'm a little more excited for Austin's Ume, a female-fronted psych-rock band that packs a pretty dangerous punch, but to each his or her own, I guess.

He'll be headlining at the Sprint Center along with Lil Boosie on Saturday, September 6. Tickets officially go on sale this Friday, June 13, but we have news of an online pre-sale if you want to nab tickets early.
