But dog washing doesn't have to mean spattering the mirror and lavatory with shaken flecks of dog water. It doesn't have to mean clogged drains, muddy tubs or fingers frozen to the outside hose. U-Wash Puppy, owned by Brigid Stephens, makes dog puddling fun. For $8 to $14, depending on the size of the dog, the customer is assigned a waist-high bathtub. Stephens supplies an apron, shampoo, towels, combs and a blow-dryer. The only thing you need bring is the dog, although she can supply one of those too.
