The revelation that girls go wild on Mardi Gras has long since ceased to surprise. But when the woman in question happened to be Mayor Kay Barnes, it made us do a double take. And when Kay-B earned her Mardi Gras beads by declaring Flaming Lips Day alongside the Lips' Wayne Coyne during frigid February festivities, it made us shit ourselves. Debauched chaos ensued as the quiet streets of KC were filled with booze, boobs and free bacon provided by local Epicureans while KCPD storm troopers doled out gratuitous police brutality when they broke up the revelry later that night with pepper-spray party favors.
