Great bartenders act as sounding boards for their patrons and are capable of knowledgeably discussing a wide range of topics. Mokie (Michael Curry) has his bases covered. Behind his affable nature and supersweet smile, Mokie's got some serious smarts. He began bartending at Davey's Uptown in 1991 while completing a double major in business and philosophy from Rockhurst University -- between rounds of golf, his favorite hobby. He doesn't make it a priority to inform people of his versatility, but we know that he's ready, willing and able to kick around any subject under the sun, and he might even offer sound business advice.
