Best 15 Minutes of FameKory McFarren
A trailer-dwelling man from Ness City, Kansas, rescued slow news weeks around the world in February. Kory McFarren called police on February 27 to advise them that his girlfriend, Pam Babcock, needed help. Babcock had reportedly spent two years in the bathroom; rescue workers discovered her stuck to her toilet and took her to a hospital in Wichita to have the seat removed from her backside. Authorities said it appeared that her legs had atrophied and open sores had caused her skin to grow around the seat. McFarren was charged with "mistreatment of a dependent adult," to which he pleaded no contest. He also pleaded no contest to an earlier charge of lewd and lascivious behavior for allegedly exposing himself to a minor. After several months in the hospital, Babcock recovered and sent a letter to the judge in McFarren's case, asking for leniency; McFarren was sentenced to six months' probation in July. His real punishment, however, might be that he'll forever be associated with one of the grossest Google name searches ever.
