Don't miss the 7th Annual World’s Largest Ice Cream Social at participating Cold Stone Creamery locations nationwide, a special night to join together and share the simple pleasures of life with a FREE ice cream and family fun. On September 25th from 5:00 - 8:00PM, guests will be treated to a 3 oz. serving of Jack or Emily's Creation. All donations will benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Jack or Emily's creations refer to two flavors developed by Make-A-Wish Foundation children. Jack's is Marshmallow ice cream with Oreos, chocolate chips and fudge. Emily's is Nutter Butter ice cream with white chocolate chips, Kit Kat and yellow cake.
According to Cold Stone's Web site, there are nine Cold Stone Creameries in the KC metro.

This is going to sound bad but the best way I've found to get out of a donation when the situation requires one is the phantom girlfriend/wife.
As in, "Yes, my wife has the donation money for the both of us. She's just down in the line. Thanks."
Then you bolt.
I wouldn't call having to offer up a donation or be saddled with a decent amount of guilt "free." Although, kudos to all the d-bags who can walk in and out without a care in the world.
