Not exactly the news you want to hear any year, much less this one but expect Thanksgiving food prices to be significantly higher this year than last. [Forbes]

An economist slap-down of New York Times food critic Frank Bruni being biased (duh) towards certain neighborhoods in Manhattan over others. What's surprising though is that the areas Bruni shuns the most have some of the best ratings by regular joes. [Portfolio]

Costco does not want your food stamps which is odd considering even Whole Foods takes them and Costco tries to be seen as socially conscious. Nevertheless, keep them food stamps out! [NYT]

Just so you know, yesterday was World Toilet Day. Yes, I'm mad I didn't get the day off either. [Canada.com]
