Right now I'm writing the Pitch Forks newsletter for next week and I realize that there are absolutely no events going on that are not Thanksgiving related. I even had trouble finding enough Thanksgiving-free links for breakfast buffet this morning. I like Thanksgiving. I really do. It's a good holiday but come on -- it seems as if every news site and party-planner is acting like Thanksgiving is the end-all be-all right now.

Where's the blacklash?

We are bowing out of any Thanksgiving related events. No extended family, just the two of us. We are having a great Thai spread and will be giving thanks for our families, even though we are choosing this year to skip the family stuff. Bring on the laab and curry!

I'll drink some Shatto eggnog tonight and review it for your pleasure.
