I'll be in class taking a written final for my culinary class (I already summed up what I learned here) but if I had $35 hanging around and was free for the night and in the vicinity of Power & Light, I'd probably hit this event.

What Pixar is to animation, Bell's Brewery is to beer -- some of its choices are always-remember, knock-out great and the ones that aren't are still pretty good. Also, Bell's is located in Michigan and anything you can do to help Michigan's economy right now, they'd greatly appreciate. (Especially if you're a member of Congress.)

From the press release:
The event will be hosted by Jim O'Connor, a territory manager for Bell's Brewery in Comstock, Mich. O'Connor will host the two-hour tasting, which will feature six of Bell's Brewery's beers - the Third Coast Old Ale, the Porter, the Kalamazoo Stout, the Special Double Cream Stout, the Cherry Stout and the Expedition Stout. The beers will be paired with four select cheeses and one dessert.
Tickets for non-UFO members are $35 (if you don't know what UFO is, you're definitely not a member) and can be purchased at the time of the event. If you check it out please let me know what you think -- that is if you can remember anything at all after six Bell's beers on a Monday night. -- Owen Morris
