McDonald's and fast food in the future

Wired Magazine is going beyond predictions for 2009 and 2010. They're looking at five years out and making mock-ups of what they think things will look like in 2013.

One of the products they believe will significantly change in 2013 is McDonald's Happy Meal. Here's the current version:

Here is the Happy Meal from six years ago:

If you take away the marketing on the two boxes, there's virtually no difference. But if junk-food laws have been passed by 2013 and electronics are less expensive and more a part of our lives than now, maybe a Happy Meal will look like this:

Ignoring the futuristic Capri-Sun-style Coke, the biggest changes are the warning label, which states that the Happy Meal "contains elevated of high-fructose corn syrup which has been associated with an increased risk of developing type two diabetes." And the clone-burger, the electronic chip in the box and the fact that it comes with its own mini-fryer so you can fry the French fries to any doneness.

The most realistic of all these extras seems to be the warning label. The idea has been batted around for half a decade and the warnings would fit perfectly with a fast food tax.

I am doing a project on how fast food has changed over the past 50 years and how it will be in the future. If you could give me some more information about that it would be cool. :]
