It didn't take long for the River Market bistro Succotash to gain a following after it opened in 2001. Locals flock to owner/chef Beth Barden's weekend brunch, afternoon sandwiches and the restaurant's namesake dish of fresh corn, lima beans and chopped peppers, which is served on potato and cheddar
pancakes.
The other thing customers have asked Barden is to extend the hours at Succotash, which closed at 3 p.m. or before every day except Wednesdays.
Customers got their wish. Succotash is now open Wednesdays through Sundays, 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. (except for Tuesdays, which are still 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the place is still closed Mondays).

while we may no longer offer the potato and cheddar pancakes, we have a great new ala carte dinner menu each night that still allows the customer to have a four course experience for an additional $5. sunday nights are tasty leftovers for $7 and on that night we close when we sell out! hope to see you there. menu is posted on our facebook site. thanks!
Hopefully everyone who asked for extended hours will show up for dinner. This didn't work out so well for Pangea or Delaware Cafe.
