In the food hierarchy, Domino's and Subway's feud is like watching two Jerry Springer guests beat the living shit out of each other: You have no vested interest in who wins, you just want it to be entertaining.
This feud just got more entertaining.
It had to do with Domino's taste test comparison commercials. I've
already written how commercials are illogical but Subway went further
and said the ads were unfair. So Domino's CEO, David Brandon, said screw
them. Last night, in a new commercial, he lit a
cease-and- desist letter from Subway on fire.
As for why Subway thinks the ads are unfair, it has
to do with the methodology of taste tests. According to Subway's CEO,
Domino's only "did the comparison against three sandwiches and have
written the ads to suggest that the results are relevant across the
whole product line" and didn't compare competing sandwiches to each other.
Subway
has yet to respond. But if the company is smart it will keep the lawyers
out of this and have Jarrod challenge Brandon to a fight. Jarrod has
been seen in YMCAs of late so it's possible he's getting in shape for
something.

also funny thing to me is that dude said subway started ripping us for the past 3-4 years thats complete bullshit cause if you ever went to subway before that you would know that a footlong on average costed 7-9$ without the meal deal. now for 9.68 you can get two footlongs not mention most of them by themselves (except one philly cheese steak) costs 5.38 so if your saying subway is ripping us off then people are suckers for being ripped off cause I have seen the amount of people that come into my work for the past 3-4 years has increased by 200% at the least not mention I have people that come in 3-5 times a week regularly.
I work at subway currently and have ate it for the past 2 years almost 6 days and I'm completely healthy....also I work by myself at subway most of the time and never have I been told that I can't go to the bathroom thats ridiculous cause the time you can't go to the bathroom is when customers are there which is understandable. People just say whatever they like without having any previous knowledge or experience in the matter. If subway is unhealthy then 99% of the world is unhealthy cause I have seen many documentaries on people eating fast food and being unhealthy, fat, and lazy but I have yet to see a subway documentary which shows how unhealthy it is. Fact of the matter is that you can get salmonella everywhere not just subway and quite frankly they have alot more veggies than most places do and they are fresh sure the meat may be processed but in this day and age its almost impossible to go out to eat and expect it all to be unprocessed and super healthy.

Subway caused to me to have terrible explosive diarrhea and excessive gas. I love Subway's delicious food but the effect it has on my bowels and poopyhole make it so where I cannot eat it. This happens EVERY single time I eat food from Subway. I love watching the Subway workers drop all the meat and food on the floor and put it on customers sandwiches. A manager at a local Subway was blowing his nose into a cut honey oat bread and then served it to his next customer. It did appear to be a delicious sandwich! Remember, always be cautious of eating Subway because you will probably get explosive diarrhea, excessive flatulence and gas and loose stools. Your poopyhole will hurt after you eat the Subway. Subway kind of feels like amoebic dysentery.

Hi, I work for Subway and the truth is, Jared lost all that weight by smoking crystal meth. Subway constantly has problems with their walk-in cooler and keeps meat refrigerated at 80-90 degrees for 2 to 5 days at a time and the prepackaged meat balloons up and looks all crazy and has a smell.. Subway also does not pay their employees on time, nor do they pay them for all hours worked. Subway doesn't like to give their employees breaks to use the restroom. Sometimes Subway runs out of dish soap and/or sanitizer and the just reuse dirty dishes. All of this comes from the managers and owners of subway. Subways franchise inspectors are a scary crew also, this one inspector brings in a bag of dildos and talks into them like a microphone then slaps everyone in their with huge 12" plastic dildos.. Also, subway doesnt provide toilet paper and soap in the restrooms so people have to wipe with their fingers then go without washing their hands. Subway is yucky.. If a bug gets in your sandwich at subway, they actually charge you for extra meat. Stay away from subway. All subways...
ok i work for dominos and i have tried their sandwiches. they taste ok but subway does taste WAY BETTER.
I like Subway sandwiches for a veggie sandwich but honestly, Quiznos beats em in taste. Who the hell cares about Dominos sandwiches! Their pizza tastes like crap. I'd much rather have a cheapo Little Ceasar's pizza. I'm betting their sanwiches are just as lack-luster in taste.
The ads are meant to cause a flame war, sorta making it viral and getting people to talk about it (which I guess is working). I think subway may have a case but they'll have to base it on the fact that Dominos is using their brand inappropriately - make it a case of trademark infringmenet.
If I recall properly, the taste test from Pepsi or Coke never stipulated the competing brand - they just called it the other leading brand. This was very likely to avoid such legal problems, the fact that the Dominos CEO is acting so immaturely makes me think less of Dominos - they're too big a company for me to find it funny.
It's not a case of the little guy vs the goliath, but goliath vs goliath - in which case I couldn't care less for either side, the respect and credibility goes out the window.
Well at least there's still Quiznos.
Thanks for the heads up. I didn't even know that Domino's had started testing subs again. They used to have them around many years ago, but the higher food cost % kind of made them unprofitable.

I hate Subway since they started to rip us off 3 or 4 years ago. I also hate Dominoes since their pizza sucks compared to Papa Johns, Pizza Hut, etc. In this case, I have to say Subway can suck it up like a man and have a look at their ads VS Quiznos and just deal with it. In this case, GO DOMINOES! *gag*

I work at Dominos so I have a had a chance on many the occasion to eat the sandwiches in question. They taste pretty decent but in no way shape or form do they taste better than Subway. But if you believe what the commercial suggests, I may just have a pyramid scheme to get wealthy you might be interested in investing in.
