Single Wide may be in stores today

KC Beer Blog is reporting that Boulevard's Single Wide IPA was supposed to be available in six-packs today at area liquor stores. Calls to two liquor stores, however, resulted in mixed messages. One said that they had a Boulevard shipment due today and Single-Wide could very well be on the truck; another was not due to get a Boulevard shipment until Friday.

I'll be scouting the area today to see if and where Single-Wide is for sale. It's already been available in bars around the area for over a month and is showing up on more taps all the time.

Single-Wide is the sixth year-round brew that Boulevard has produced and the first since Lunar Ale in 2007. It's a less-alcoholic version of the Smokestack series Double-Wide IPA (5.7 to 8.5 percent) that keeps all the bite and flavor of the original. I've tried it three times but am waiting until the bottles come out to give it a full review. That could be tomorrow.

I was able to get a keg of it 2 weeks ago at Gomer's on 39th. Come on over and you can have a pint. Truly good beer.
