Calories on menus should be taken with a grain of salt. They're a guide to making healthy choices but not a way to count individual calories.
Absolutely. Each sandwich or taco or slice of pizza will necessarily vary based on how heavy-handed the cook is with the cheese. This information is most helpful in making comparisons, like when the chicken tacos seem like the right choice until you see they're listed at 1100 calories and the sirloin seems wrong until you see it's only 600.
That's why I believe everyone should have this information.
