One of the busiest days in the restaurant industry is Mother's Day, that fabulous holiday devoted to the loving Moms of the world. It's not exactly around the corner -- May 10 is 54 days away -- but at least one local restaurant is already tooting its own horn to get those reservations flowing in.
Starker's Restaurant, 201 E. 47th Street on the Country Cub Plaza will offer a three-course brunch for $33 (plus tax and gratuity) that the restaurant's forward-thinking publicist announces will make certain that "your mother has the perfect starter, entree and dessert of her choice!" Oh my gosh I can't believe how fast Mother's Day has come round, I hope everyone has all their plans sorted by now? I think with all the financial worries going around at the moment, we all need to be more aware of our spending. I thought I would share my new tip with you, I have now recently become a bit of a fan of electronic greetings cards. I have spent ages on the internet and found a really cool Free Mothers Day eCard site. I think this is such a great idea as a money saving technique! I dread to link how money I have spent over the years on papers cards, and postage! I like this particular site because it always seems to have new designs to choose from, so I have never become bored. They also have a great application called 'Face It' where you can upload your own photos to add that extra personal touch, which is a great idea. I hope this piece of information helps, let me know! I feel very lucky that my mom and I still live only about 45 minutes apart.
This makes it easy for us to see her on Mother's Day and she can see her
grandchildren which makes for even more special day for her. But when I show up
