Spring is officially here, with its lovely 50 degree weather. Anyway, buds blooming in Westport makes us think of one of the most famous patios in town, which belongs to one of the best bars in town. I talked with Harry's Bar and Tables bartender Sonya Lamberg, who confirms that with more people on the patio during the spring, "that means more at happy hour."
Harry's (no relation to the equally good Harry's Country Club) offers a happy hour seven days a week.
Wine is half-off every day until 7 p.m. Lamberg rattled off
more than a dozen varieties -- cabernet sauvignon, chardonnay, semillon, merlot, pinot grigio, pinot blanc to name a few.
All come in wines by the glass. Champagne by the bottle is also half-off.
Glasses of red sangria are 1/2 price and all beers on tap are $1
off. Harry's has a dozen true pub beers on tap including Guinness, New
Castle, Stella, a rotating Belgium, Boulevard Single-Wide, Wheat and Pale Ale. Lamberg also said they still have a little of the Boulevard Irish
Ale.
Three menu items are half-priced each happy hour.
Lamberg said the items rotate daily but usually include gumbo, spinach dip, chips and guacamole or jambalaya along with a healthier food like house salads and soups.
Harry's opens at 3
p.m. Monday through Friday and at 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. There's also a reverse happy hour Monday through Thursday, with
the same deals as above from midnight to 3 a.m. The kitchen closes at 2
a.m. every night.
You know a happy hour or deal that is exceptional? E-mail me or leave tell us about it in the comments below.

I was in the lounge a couple weeks ago and agree the burger is amazing! I'll have to get to Bluestem for some more happy hour research to make sure but I believe you're right Jerry, they do have one of the best happy hours.
A quick nod to your aforementioned Beard nominee, who happens to top the list (in MY book) for BEST happy hour in Kansas City...
The lounge at Bluestem has a happy hour from 5pm to 7pm Tuesday - Thursday (Friday now? At least what is says on the website...). Half-off all food on the lounge menu... so with the caviar-esque presentation of their smoked salmon coming in at around $3.50, and my favorite burger in KC costing 7 bucks at happy hour, you cannot lose. Plus, their specialty martinis are 7 bucks.
No, I don't work for the place, I just feel the need to shill for the lounge since I have forsaken the dining room for so long now....but SUCH great deals....
