Crossroads sushi restaurant Nara has long happy hours  that feature plenty of menu options for under $5.

Sushi rolls, like the spicy tuna and California, are only $3. Yakitori and yaki gyu (skewered chicken and beef respectively) is the same price.

Appetizers include edamame, shrimp/pork-fried gyoza (dumplings) and hummus with wonton chips going for $3. The spring rolls, egg roll, shrimp shumai (another type of dumpling) and Nara tacos run $4.

There's also a wide display of drink choices. Four choice martinis -- including a cosmopolitan and Bombora dirties -- are $4 a piece. Domestic bottles and Kirin Ichiban draft beer are $3. Hot sake served in a 375 ml carafe (half-the-size of a wine bottle) is $5, as are smaller bottles of Sho Chiku Bai Nama and Ozeki Fancy Dry.

Plus Kikkoman plum wine is only $3.

The happy hour is good in the bar and lounge area only. It runs from 3 to 7 p.m. Monday through Thursday and until 6 p.m. on Friday. On Saturday it runs from 4 to 6 p.m. Even better, for all you late-night-owls, there's a reverse happy hour Monday through Saturday from 10 p.m. to 1 a.m. The reverse happy hour also features local DJ's.
