After a winter traveling or hibernating or working her normal job at Hammerpress, Lindsay Laricks and her snowcone-on-wheels company Fresh than Fresh is bringing its vintage Shasta trailer to the Crossroads this Friday night.

The company -- Kansas City's "first traveling homemade snowcone stand" -- will be in front of the Hammerpress building at 110 Southwest Boulevard from 6-10 pm. The following day Fresh than Fresh will make an appearance in front of Blue Bird Bistro at 1700 Summit from noon to 8 p.m.

No word whether the prices will be raised this year. Last year snowcones were $3, flights of five flavors were $4 and the "daredevil special" was $2. In this excellent interview, Laricks said she serves seven core flavors -- lemon prickly pear, blackberry lavender, watermelon basil, lime mint, espresso Mexican cane sugar and ginger rose -- which also just happen to be the seven current flavors listed on Fresher than Fresh's Web site. With their natural ingredients you really can't go wrong with any of them.

Hey, thanks for the coverage!

One small clarification: we won't be in front of Bluebird Bistro...but across the street in the garden.

Hope to see you there!
