After a winter traveling or hibernating or working her normal job at Hammerpress, Lindsay Laricks and her snowcone-on-wheels company Fresh than Fresh is bringing its vintage Shasta trailer to the Crossroads this Friday night.
The company -- Kansas City's "first traveling homemade snowcone stand" -- will be in front of the Hammerpress building at 110 Southwest Boulevard from 6-10 pm. The following day Fresh than Fresh will make an appearance in front of
Blue Bird Bistro at 1700 Summit from noon to 8 p.m.
No word whether the prices will be raised this year. Last year snowcones were $3, flights of five flavors were $4 and the "daredevil special" was $2. In this
excellent interview, Laricks said she serves seven core flavors -- lemon prickly pear, blackberry lavender, watermelon basil, lime mint, espresso Mexican cane sugar and ginger rose -- which also just happen to be the seven current flavors listed on Fresher than Fresh's
Web site. With their natural ingredients you really can't go wrong with any of them.
