Shortly after yesterday's post where I asked if somebody could explain Guy Fieri's behavior at a Royals game, I got an e-mail saying it was not in fact the platinum-haired Food Network star but an impostor! This wannabe was reportedly heavier and didn't sound anything like Fieri.
Shortly after that, Fieri confirmed it on (where else?) his Twitter page saying, "Some cat is playin' me in KC. Crazy, just for da record, I am home and was not in KC. Thanks to those keepin' an eye out."
Deadspin found this video of the encounter and while it's slightly painful to watch, it's also hilarious to see fake being taken so seriously.
In a different interview the real Fieri said that one of the odder things in his life is that people now go into diners and pretend to be him. Apparently they also go to Royals games.
But seriously, who dresses up like Guy Fieri? Oh, these people do.
