The Border
War Showdown doesn't exactly have the same fire to it as it did in the days of John Brown and William Quantrill. Not only is it no longer a war, it has official sponsors. But MU and KU grads still feel strongly about whipping up on one another, so I'm sure they won't want to miss tonight's Border Wars for Autism at
Boulevard Brewery.
It features fight songs, sports highlights and all the Boulevard beer and wine you and your arch-nemeses can guzzle. Both sides win because the $35 entrance fee helps the MU Thompson Center for Autism and Neurodevelopmental Disorders
and the Kansas Center for Autism Research and Training.
The event is from 6-9:30 p.m. and tickets must be purchased
online here.
