This is our last post on Schlafly brewmaster Stephen Hale and that's a promise. But if you couldn't make it to last night's tasting at The Flying Saucer -- or you enjoyed it so much you want

to do it all over again -- he's hosting a similar tasting tonight at The Foundry.

How similar? Hale will be talking about the same six beers he spoke about last night: the the

tripel, grand cru, biere de garde, quadrupel, barrel-aged imperial

stout and oak-aged barleywine.

The difference is that the Foundry and its sister McCoy's Public House have put together a fancy six-course dinner, with several types of cheeses, a salad and main courses featuring seared

salmon and a cassoulet with duck sausage.

If you want to know more about Hale check out Fat City's post yesterday about him.

Tickets for this event are now $50. Make reservations by calling

816-960-0866.
