 They say a picture tells a thousand words. This picture doesn't tell quite that many, but there's kind of an interesting story connected with this sign.

Fikedogg: Good catch, but it's not a Dairy Queen. You figured out WHERE it is...now tell me WHAT it is.

It is the Dairy Queen in Independence right next to the Great Western Motel on 24hwy.

No, it's not near the Paseo, it's not in Overland Park or the historic northeast. But here's a clue: Harry S Truman. No, he didn't eat here.

The motel sign looks like the whitehouse inn or whatever on Metcalf but I don't go to KS.

The Motel sign in the background makes me think of Villa Capri Motel in NorthEast KC around The Avenue and the Paseo.
