Dawg Town: Chicago dogs, north of the river

Nearly a decade ago, Adam Clay was a manager at Skies restaurant in the Hyatt Regency Crown Center Hotel. He's never really left the food service business, although these days he's a little more hands-on. On Saturdays, Clay now sells Chicago-style hot dogs from a cart in the heart of downtown North Kansas City -- in a parking lot very close to where you turn off Burlington onto Armour Road.

Clay sells a traditional Chicago dog: an all-beef dog on a poppy-seed bun, loaded up with that vividly green "Chicago relish," chopped onion, two wedges of fresh tomato, sport peppers, a pickle slice and a dusting of celery salt. For fans of the real Chicago dog experience, head north.

We made our way over to NKC yesterday (Saturday at high noon) and Adam was nowhere to be found! We drove around for a good 10 minutes and didn't see any hot dog cart in any of the parking lots. Do you know when he's there or have more specific info about which lot he's in?
