It's time to put away the cards and the dice. Forget about drinking based on what Brent Musberger says or when the Jenga blocks collapse. That's because you can now buy the Arkeg Drink'n game --a kegerator-video game console hybrid that is the finest collaboration of appliances since the TV-DVD.
It's not cheap. The Drink'n game will run you $3,999. But it comes pre-loaded with 69 arcade titles including Paperboy, Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter, Spy Hunter and (of course) Tapper. A CO2 canister and the keg are stored in the base of the arcade cabinet, which has always been wasted space from an engineering standpoint. The tap handle is on the left hand side of the machine.
And since you will now need drinking games that involve arcade
classics, you'll be glad to know there's a few suggestions
ready for you. Ask Men has put together a list of the Top 10 drinking video games and offers rules to go along with
the suggestions. Our own experience suggests that if you were to follow their recommendations,
you would accomplish your drinking-game goal. Those
looking to add to the list might consider Mario Kart or any other
racing game.
Games Radar also has a list
from a few years back with a key inclusion: Rock Band. For the same
reason that karoake is held in bars, you'll feel a lot better about
your lack of rhythm if you can blame whiskey. Gameist even took this idea one step further, by offering up a list of which video game characters would make for good drinking buddies.
Now if only someone could figure out how to make hangovers more entertaining.
