Gordon Ramsay gets drawn (possibly buttered)

We have a tendency in society to take somebody who is good at one thing and hope that their success translates into another medium. With chefs, the danger lies in taking them out of the kitchen and asking them to become performers.

Variety broke the news yesterday that Gordon Ramsay is set to be the star of a new stop-motion animation series made by Cuppa Coffee Studios -- best known for the Celebrity Deathmatch series on MTV:

Gordon Ramsay, at Your Service is described as a half-hour laffer that will take "the essence of who he is and have a bit of fun with it," according to Adam Shaheen, prexy of Cuppa Coffee.
The show is a long way from your television set (it's still being shopped and needs a writer), but the thought of a cartoon version of the over-the-top chef seems a bit much, even in concept. While he has a high-powered personality, it is more caustic than comedic.

If Cuppa Coffee is stuck for story ideas, perhaps they could look to one of Ramsay's other shows for inspiration. A perfect example might be found near the beginning of each episode of Gordon Ramsay's Kitchen Nightmares, when he addresses the camera while changing from his streetclothes into his chef's whites. As a shirtless Ramsay lambasts a hapless restaurant owner, it is only then that we see how unintentionally funny he can be.

If that fails, he should just opt for a talking bear. That sounds like a show that might be picked up by Fox.

I'm actually kind of excited about this - some of the best dishes start out with the strangest combinations of ingredients. In this case, we'll have to wait and see!

Seamus is right. I'm also glad he's not a Bender.

I love that the author of this has no idea about the show or what its about while acknowledging that it hasnt even been made yet he is quick to judge - I for one am no defender of Ramsay but I am also somewhat tired of the boring one sided
journalistically inept remarks made about any new project.
Well at least my names not Bender!
