You're about to start fighting over who gets to do the office work. J&D's has introduced bacon-flavored MMMvelopes.

The makers of Baconnaise and Bacon Salt (one of the few gimmick products to deliver on its taste promises) encourage people to Lick It. Love It. Mail It. The product's Web site breaks down the pork-like paper goods:

No longer will envelopes taste like the underside of your car. You can enjoy the taste of delicious bacon instead. That's right, bacon. It's not real bacon, mind you, so you won't have to start storing your envelopes in the refrigerator. But it really does taste

like bacon.

But the joy of bacon comes with a steep price -- a pack of 25 envelopes is $6.99. Buying in bulk helps a bit; 75 envelopes go for $14.99.

Man, we've come a long way from the pizza eraser -- a rubber eraser that was simply impressive in that it looked like a pizza. And when scratch n' sniff stickers arrived, I thought they couldn't be topped. Clearly, I had no idea that an evolution of bacon-y proportions was about to come to office supplies.

This might just be the way to make people starting writing letters to each other again. Now, if J&D's would just see about flavoring the tip of a pen cap, so we'd have something to tide us over until the letter was done.
