When you were a kid, you'd tilt your glass up beneath every soda fountain flavor and create the ultimate combination drink: the suicide.
Old habits die hard, as I've learned from most people's inability to pick one flavor of hot drink from the convenience store. Some would argue that there's very little difference between the cappuccino or the flavored coffee, but the regular commuter knows that the right formula can be the key to finding a cup of coffee that's as well-balanced as a glass filled with equal parts of milk and egg nog.
Through an unscientific but diverse straw poll, I tapped friends
and acquaintances in an attempt to discover the right buttons to push. It's the coffee equivalent of a video-game cheat.
At QuikTrip, it would seem that you want to take one part french vanilla latte and combine it with the same amount of coffee or hot chocolate. It's the difference between sweet coffee and dessert breakfast.
At a 7-Eleven, it's two-thirds capuccino, one-third hot chocolate (although make sure you time it right, to get the syrup portion and not the water finish).
For those who are in on the Starbucks lingo: a grande nonfat, no whip, peppermint white mocha seems appropriate for the time of year.
The key, as with most things, is to stop at two, possibly three flavor combinations. It's fine to add a dash of cocoa, hazelnut, or Irish creme, but not all of them. The finest coffee suicides are usually a result of restraint.

They also used to have a recipe for a Twix cappucino that was excellent, but I can't find it anywhere.
