No, Cafe Seed is not closed

​A Fat City reader e-mailed asking whether Cafe Seed, the vegan restaurant at 2932 Cherry, had closed. "The closed sign has been up for a bit and there's a piece of white paper taped to the glass door."

I stopped by and the restaurant is, indeed, closed -- but temporarily. The notice taped to the door reads: "Cafe Seed is closed for kitchen repairs and will re-open on January 22nd." I spoke with co-owner Daniel Ordomaznez, who said the kitchen needed some electrical work and the restaurant will begin serving again on Friday.
