Pi Gallery's Jody Wilkins calls it a day
After a seven-year run as a popular art gallery, coffee house and Crossroads gathering place, the Pi Gallery has closed. Owner Jody Wilkins hosted her last Sunday brunch yesterday -- it was a potluck -- at the space at 419 E. 18th Street. Wilkins had put the building up for sale and it sold surprisingly quickly.

Over the last few years, Wilkins and the gallery's guest chef, Heather Hands, hosted a variety of culinary events, including fish frys, Sunday brunches and special dinners inspired by the art displayed on the gallery walls.

Wilkins said she's looking for a new space, possibly on Troost.
