Browne's Irish Market (3300 Pennsylvania) will start serving rashers (Irish bacon similar to back bacon or Canadian bacon) and bangers (Irish sausage) at 7 a.m.
In Westport
McCoy's Public House is serving its 12th annual St. Patrick's Day Breakfast Buffet from 7 to 10 a.m. It's $8.99 and includes scrambled eggs, smoked bacon, sausage, breakfast potatoes, buttermilk biscuits with sausage gravy and corned beef hash.
One80 has an a la carte breakfast starting at 9 a.m. Sample green eggs and ham, corned beef hash and vegetarian biscuits and portabella gravy.
Kelly's Westport Inn. Randal's Rooftop is open, and a temporary catering license means you can drink on the street in Westport. Enjoy it, even if it's only good for tomorrow.
Downtown
If the sun stays out, Hamburger Mary's will unveil a new deck that overlooks Southwest Boulevard. There's no cover and appetizers are half-price all day.
The Power & Light District hosts a Shamrocks and Shenanigans Party. McFadden's Sports Saloon opens at 6 a.m. and Raglan Road opens at 8 a.m., serving a traditional Irish breakfast until 11 a.m. followed by a slew of dancing and drink specials. The U2 cover band Elevation hits the stage at noon, right as Howl at The Moon opens up to serve you green beer and green Jell-O Shots. Eve 6 is the headliner on the KC Live! Stage.
The Plaza
McCormick and Schmick's has a menu filled with traditional Irish fare including lamb stew and Guinness-steamed shrimp. Also on the list: corned beef sliders.
Kansas City institution Eddie Delahunt is at O'Dowd's Little Dublin from 4:30 to 9:30 p.m.

The Blue Moose Bar and Grill in Prairie Village promises green beer and a Guinness pint glass giveaway.
Waxy O'Sheas in Shawnee has a slate of traditional Irish fare. Possible standouts: the Guinness beef crostini -- beef braised in Guinness with bleu cheese sauce -- and the fish and chips.
Waldo
Lew's Grill and Bar and The Well are throwing a joint Irish hooley. Lew's opens at 8 a.m. and the Well opens at 11 a.m., right when Lew's begins to serve corned beef and cabbage. If you can't make it for breakfast, don't worry -- Lew's doesn't close until 3 a.m. Tickets are $5 in advance or $10 at the door.
The Gaf opens at 8 a.m. You can see how a Guinness should be poured and sample the shepherd's pie or Irish stew.
