Seafood lovers, get your peeling fingers ready. McCormick & Schmick is celebrating its 10-year anniversary on the Plaza this week.
You can head there for dinner tonight, when no dinner item will cost more than $20. Tuesday, no lunch menu item will go for more than $10. On Wednesday, there's a bar party from 4 to 6 p.m. with $3.95 peel-and-eat shrimp, $1 oysters, $3.50 Boulevards, and $5 sangria. Thursday brings a two-for-$10 cocktail special, and Sunday features three-course dinners starting at $19.95. Happy hour from 4 to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday will still be available at the bar.
In addition to the anniversary specials this week, McCormick & Schmick is also launching a new menu with 10 entrees for under $10 for lunch (Southwest blackened salmon salad, open-face tuna melt, barbecued-salmon sandwich), sushi and sashimi (ahi tuna tartare tossed tableside with chopped egg, capers, red onion and dijon), small plates (tempura shrimp, lump blue crab tower, crispy buttermilk fried oysters) and a daily "chef recommends" box.
"We are thrilled to present a new menu that merges our passion for freshly caught seafood with local and seasonal fare," says the executive chef, Nathan Holm.
Right now there are also four seasonal crab dishes on the menu, which start at $19.95. There's lobster ravioli with blue crab in a white-wine-cream sauce, a signature crab cake, a one-and-a-half-pound king crab dinner -- with steamed crab, vegetables and melted butter. The filet-and-crab combination features a char-grilled filet with king crab legs or crab cake -- or served "Oscar"-style: topped with crab, asparagus and hollandaise sauce.
