A bartender without a bar to tend is like a poet without a muse. Thankfully, two of the finest drinksmiths in Kansas City will have a chance to get behind a bar for the first time in weeks as Ryan Maybee and Beau Williams bring their talents to the Screenland Armour Theater at the Crossroads (408 Armour in North Kansas City) from 7 to 10 tonight for the Traveling Cocktail Club.

Maybee, the owner of Manifesto, and Williams, who took second place in this year's Greater Kansas City Bartending Competition, have been on hiatus since Manifesto closed its doors March 3 in the wake of 1924 Main being shuttered.

Maybee and Williams will be mixing up Manifesto favorites like the Beautiful Red Bell or Smokin' Choke for only $7. The mixologists will be making classic cocktails as well, so Manhattans and gin martinis are on the menu as well.

The event is sponsored by the Kansas City Bartender's Alliance. If you can't make it tonight, stay tuned -- Maybee has a few more lined up and hopes to make this a weekly touring event at bars across the city.
