KC Urban Ag spring plant and produce sale -- a slideshow

I spent Saturday morning at the Kansas City Center for Urban Agriculture's Spring Plant & Produce Sale. It finally feels like planting season and the farm, at 4223 Gibbs Road in Kansas City, Kansas, had the transplants and starters for a vegetable or herb garden ready to take home.

The two-acre organic farm -- in the shadow of Highway 635 -- is where urban farmers come to learn about planting and selling in a sustainable manner. Click here or on the photo below for a brief slideshow.
