I might have slammed national food holidays earlier in this week, but we can all share in the benefits tomorrow. June 4 is National Doughnut Day and free doughnuts abound across the city.

Lamar's Donuts will each customer a free Ray's Original Glazed. There are two Lamar's locations in Overland Park (8615 College Boulevard and 12520 Quivira Road) and Kansas City, Missouri (9926 Holmes and 3395 Main Street).

Krispy Kreme Donuts will have free donuts all day as well. Stores in Independence (4242 S. Noland Road), Merriam (8805 Shawnee Mission Parkway), and Overland Park (10390 Metcalf Avenue) are all participating in the giveaway.

Dunkin' Donuts is giving a free

doughnut with every beverage purchase. There are currently two locations

in Overland Park (7446 Metcalf and 7722 West 151st Street). On Friday,

Dunkin' Donuts will also announce the winner of its second Create

Dunkin's Next Donut Contest. The winner receives $12,000, and the

company will sell the winner's new flavor nationwide.

And, finally, Hostess has a $1 off coupon on Donettes.
