Harvey House's legacy can now live on in your house. A Fat City reader noticed a sign advertising an online auction for the equipment and furniture of the iconic restaurant in Union Station.

The second iteration of Harvey House opened in 2006 -- a step back in time to the classic dinner that was a Union Station stalwart for the first half of the 20th century.

With the auction ending at 10 a.m. today, Fat City combed through the listings to find the items that are worthy of a look. Since the auction's online at Equip-Bid.com, you can even bid from the comfort of your office chair.

There's perhaps the ultimate mystery item among the commercial kitchen equipment and prep tables. The top bid is currently $35 for a drop safe with an unknown combination. This is like buying the contents of a storage container at auction, nearly anything could be inside.

The vinyl black booths with the clamshell top are also up for auction. At $70 right now, it's not too steep a price for the kind of classic seat that groans slightly when you sit down and your legs stick to in summer. The other seating option to consider are the turquoise rotating bar stools ($30).

Just as I've accumulated more things that I could imagine after three years in a home, the Harvey House online auction extends over 13 pages and includes a unique collection of items. Perhaps one of the odder items is what's described as "used medical equipment from Science City at Union Station." The top bid is $10 for a medical cart that has home-bar conversion written all over it.

The last item you should consider buying is an Otis Spunkmeyer cookie convection oven ($35). There's a direct correlation between Otis Spunkmeyer cookies and the 15 pounds I gained freshman year at college. This oven produces slightly soft chocolate chip cookies -- the kind where the chocolate chips stick to your fingers.
